Unai Emery appears to have announced himself as Arsenal’s new manager.<\/p>\n

The 46-year-old’s official website – www.unai-emery.com<\/a> – displayed a picture of the former Paris St Germain head coach alongside an Arsenal<\/a> crest and the message: “Proud to be part of the Arsenal family.”<\/p>\n

The Spaniard’s appointment as Arsene Wenger’s replacement was expected to become official later this week, but it now appears the Spaniard has confirmed the news.<\/p>\n

Emery left PSG at the end of this campaign following a two-year stint where he won one Ligue 1 title and four domestic cups, having led Sevilla<\/a> to three successive Europa League<\/a> trophies prior to that.<\/p>\n

Mikel Arteta<\/a>, Luis Enrique and Juventus’ Massimiliano Allegri were among those strongly linked to the role and Emery has only been seen as an outside bet with bookmakers since Wenger’s departure was first confirmed last month.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
