Arsenal<\/a> frontman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang<\/a> has claimed the club has “stagnated” during the final years of former manager Arsene Wenger’s reign.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Aubameyang, 28, was actually Wenger’s last signing as Gunners boss when he\u00a0moved to the Emirates from Borussia Dortmund<\/a> in January.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But the Gabon international says everyone at the club is looking forward to getting started under the new leadership of recently appointed head coach Unai Emery.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Aubameyang\u00a0said on French radio station RMC: “Like in the last few seasons, you have to say the reality is the club has stagnated a little bit. Everyone is a little bit excited to see what happens next season.”<\/p>\n

He added: “It’s certainly strange that the coach is leaving after 22 years. That’s life, you have to move forward. We need everyone to think that we have to work hard to rival the best.”<\/p>\n

Emery joins Arsenal after being replaced at Paris Saint-Germain<\/a> by Thomas Tuchel.<\/p>\n

Aubameyang said of Emery: “He’s a very good coach. At Paris, it’s never very easy. There’s enormous pressure.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
