Mesut Ozil will be included in the Arsenal team for the club\u2019s pre-season tour of Singapore, manager Unai Emery has confirmed.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tOzil arrived home from the World Cup amidst heavy criticism following Germany\u2019s embarrassing exit\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Ozil has been on holiday since Germany\u2019s early exit from the World Cup<\/a> <\/strong>group stage, and is yet to return to pre-season training.<\/p>\n

But the playmaker, who recently took the Gunners\u2019 number ten shirt<\/strong><\/a>, will return in time to fly out with the rest of the squad on July 22 and will take full part in their tour in the east.<\/p>\n

Mohamed Elneny and Alex Iwobi \u2013 who were also eliminated from the World Cup at the group stage \u2013 will also join the club on their pre-season travels.<\/p>\n

New boss Emery has already begun work with those players who did not play in this summer\u2019s tournament in Russia.<\/p>\n

The Gunners coasted to an 8-0 win over non-league Borehamwood<\/a><\/strong> in the Spaniard\u2019s first game in charge on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a hat-trick and new signings Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Matteo Guendouzi were also involved.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Monday, Emery told Arsenal Player: \u201cAll the players are the same.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have the same holidays. I know Iwobi, Elneny and Mesut Ozil. He\u2019s coming with us to Singapore the first day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Arsenal face Emery\u2019s former club Paris Saint-Germain and Europa League holders Atletico Madrid in Singapore as part of the International Champions Cup.<\/p>\n

Ozil came in for fierce criticism for his underwhelming displays at the World Cup as the 2014 winners surprisingly finished bottom of their group.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old also saw his form and commitment to Arsenal questioned during the latter stages of last season, with former Gunners defender Martin Keown claiming Ozil was not \u2018giving everything\u2019<\/a><\/strong> for the common cause.<\/p>\n

Ozil signed a new, bumper contract<\/a> <\/strong>at the Emirates Stadium in January when it appeared he was more likely to follow Alexis Sanchez out of the door.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Thursday, Emery said he intends to help Ozil return to his best in the forthcoming campaign.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are here to help every player,\u201d he said when asked how he will \u2018fix\u2019 Ozil\u2019s form.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor us Mesut is a very important player\u2026today he is on holiday and I want him to relax good and I want, when he comes back with us, to start with a good mentality.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
