Barcelona target Willian is a more important player for Chelsea that Eden Hazard, according to former West Ham striker Dean Ashton.<\/p>\n

Both Blues stars have been linked with moves to Spain this summer, despite the departure of Antonio Conte and the arrival of new manager Maurizio Sarri<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Barcelona are keen on bringing Willian to the Nou Camp \u2013 with the Brazilian said to be eager to leave after falling out with Conte last season, even though he is now not in charge.<\/p>\n

The Spanish champions are said to be planning a THIRD bid of around \u00a355million for the Brazil winger<\/a>, while Eden Hazard has been linked with rivals Real Madrid.<\/p>\n

Los Blancos are on the hunt for Cristiano Ronaldo\u2019s replacement following his move to Juventus<\/a>, and see Hazard as the ideal successor to his No.7 shirt.<\/p>\n

Reports on Saturday suggested Real are readying a \u00a3112million offer for Hazard<\/a>, who is regarded as one of the best players in European football.<\/p>\n

However, Ashton believes Willian has proved to be the important player for Chelsea and says that losing either player, or both, this summer would be a disaster for the Blues.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no surprise Barcelona are after Willian,\u201d the former Hammers striker said on the Weekend Sports Breakfast.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s maybe more important to Chelsea than Hazard. I think over the last three seasons he\u2019s actually been more consistent in his performances.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor Chelsea, I think a player like Thibaut Courtois is replaceable \u2013 but you can\u2019t lose Hazard and Willian. You just can\u2019t lose them both.\u201d<\/p>\n
