Green began his career with Norwich City and made over 200 appearances for the Canaries before the Hammers brought him to the capital in 2006.<\/p>\n

After impressing in the East End as the club valiantly battled relegation, he was called up to the England squad by Fabio Capello.<\/p>\n

At the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, he was picked ahead of David James as the first-choice glovesman, but made an absolutely dreadful mistake to allow Clint Dempsey to equalise during the Three Lions\u2019 first group game.<\/p>\n
