Stewart Robson hopes Jack Wilshere can get back to his best form at West Ham, after hailing the midfielder as \u2018the best talent I\u2019d seen from an English player since Paul Gascoigne\u2019.<\/p>\n

The England international left the Gunners after 17 years to move across London to play for Manuel Pellegrini\u2019s West Ham side upon the expiration of his contract.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tWest Ham snapped up Wilshere when he was released by Arsenal\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Despite new boss Unai Emery failing to guarantee Wilshere the play time he so desired<\/a>, the new Hammers boss wants the 26-year-old to be the star of his midfield.<\/p>\n

Robson, who struggled with injury problems at West Ham and the Gunners, has admitted he hopes the talented midfielder can get back to his best and put his own injury demons in the past.<\/p>\n

He told Jim White on talkSPORT:<\/a> \u201cHe\u2019s somebody that goes past you with the ball, even if it\u2019s only five or ten yards when he initially breaks the challenge, that enables you to see the next pas \u2013that through ball.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd that\u2019s what Jack Wilshere has got to get back to doing.<\/p>\n

Wilshere will don the Claret and Blue once again on Wednesday evening as the Hammers face Aston Villa in a friendly game.<\/p>\n
