Zlatan Ibrahimovic has apologised to Manchester United fans, claiming \u2018it would have been dangerous\u2019\u00a0if he had arrived in the Premier League sooner.<\/p>\n

The charismatic striker arrived at Old Trafford in the summer of 2016 on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain and was an instant success.<\/p>\n

Now at LA Galaxy, the giant Swede apologised to the Red Devils faithful \u2013 claiming they would have seen a \u2018different lion\u2019 had he arrived earlier in his illustrious career.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel sorry for the fans \u2013 if they\u2019d seen me younger, they\u2019d have seen a different lion,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the Premier League, it would have been dangerous, as I would have eaten them for breakfast; instead, I took them for lunch. But I came: they wanted me, I gave them me and I took over. Been there and done that.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would need more time to explain my feelings but let\u2019s start with a big thanks to everybody \u2013 what they did was amazing and I hope they are as happy as I am,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cI gave as much as I could for as long as I could; when I got injured, I got support in a different way. They always stood behind me and my team-mates.<\/p>\n
