MIAMI <\/strong>(December 18, 2018) \u2013 Four-division world champion and must-see attraction Adrien \u201cThe Problem\u201d Broner<\/strong> hosted a media workout at Miami Beach\u2019s world famous 5th<\/sup> Street Gym on Tuesday as he prepares to face Senator Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao<\/strong>, boxing’s only eight-division world champion, for his World Boxing Association Welterweight World Title on SHOWTIME PPV\u00ae<\/sup> Saturday, January 19 from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cincinnati\u2019s\n Broner, one of boxing\u2019s most popular and colorful personalities, is \ntraining under the tutelage of Kevin Cunningham in nearby West Palm \nBeach, Fla. Cunningham said the upbeat Broner is soley focused on facing\n Pacquiao and it\u2019s been a near-perfect training camp so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is what Broner and Cunningham had to say Tuesday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ADRIEN BRONER:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis\n fight is real important. This is a hell of a fight not only for me but \nfor the sport. This is a fight that needed to happen for the sport and \nwe are going to put on a hell of a show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\n always knew that one day I would be having fights like this. Honestly I\n thought he [Pacquiao] would be done with boxing by now but I always \nknew I would have a fight of this magnitude on this platform, \npay-per-view and all and now I\u2019m here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\n knew what to expect. I knew he [Kevin] was going to be real strict and I\n just came prepared. Ready to put it all in and put it all on the line.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On what he does in his down time:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\n try to rest as much as possible. I\u2019m training so much and training real\n hard. This will be my second workout of the day and then after this I \nhave another workout at 8:30 p.m. so that will be the third workout for \nthe day so you know all my off time I try to eat properly, stay hydrated\n and stay focused.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On how it feels to train in a gym that hosted greats like Muhammad Ali:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s\n lovely. I never knew this gym existed and this is my first time ever \nbeing here or ever hearing about this gym being legendary. Muhammad Ali \npaved the way for guys like me and Sugar Ray Leonard and everyone else \nso, its legendary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\n always tell other fighters and other people it takes more to be a star \nthan just boxing. I just have everything it takes to be a mega star.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Pacquiao\u2019s last fight against Lucas Matthysse:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\n didn\u2019t see it but I heard he looked good. I don\u2019t know what to expect. \nI\u2019m just training for the best Pacquiao. And I\u2019m going to go out there \nand do what I have to do to get the victory.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you feel training in South Florida?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m\n not focused on the clubbing and stuff and all that stuff will be here \nafter the fight. I\u2019m 110 percent focused on this fight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What he will do after the Pacquiao Fight?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBoxing\n you have to take it one fight at a time. My main focus is getting past \nManny Pacquiao first and then we can talk about other things.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On whether or not Pacquiao has a weakness:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s\n not a mystery. He has seven losses. It\u2019s not a mystery that he can lose\n but anyone can lose on any given day. It\u2019s whoever prepares the best \nand I\u2019m preparing myself to do what I need to do. I don\u2019t care about \nstopping him or whether it\u2019s a unanimous decision, as long as I\u2019m \nvictorious.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On whether or not this is the biggest fight of his career:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis\n is definitely my biggest fight, biggest magnitude, biggest platform \nI\u2019ve ever been on but you never know. I could probably go in there and \nmake this look like the easiest fight of my career you just never know.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KEVIN CUNNINGHAM:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\n think he\u2019s having even a better camp than the last. He\u2019s added a new \nstrength and conditioning coach and everything is working out perfect \nand camp is going extremely well and smooth. AB\u2019s looking fast and \nexplosive. I have no complaints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAdrien\u2019s\n got everything; he\u2019s a real throwback fighter. He\u2019s got speed, he\u2019s got\n power, he\u2019s got quickness, he\u2019s got footwork. He can punch and he can \nbang and he can box. He\u2019s got skills and he can be slick if he wants to \nbe. So he\u2019s the total package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\n have an idea of the way the fight is going to go. We\u2019ve studied tons of\n Pacquiao footage and he pretty much fights the same every fight. \nManny\u2019s a rhythm fighter so it\u2019s all about getting in his rhythm. He \npretty much does his thing. But outside of that I\u2019ve never really seen \nhim make too many adjustments. He\u2019s pretty much the same guy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In undercard action on the SHOWTIME PPV, two-division world champion Badou Jack<\/strong> will battle unbeaten top-rated contender Marcus Browne<\/strong> for the WBA Interim Light Heavyweight Title and former world champion Rau\u2019shee Warren<\/strong> will take on France\u2019s Nordine Oubaali<\/strong> for\n the vacant WBC Bantamweight World Championship in a rematch of their \n2012 Olympic matchup that was edged by Oubaali.  In the opening bout of \nthe four-fight PPV telecast, unbeaten Jhack Tepora <\/strong>will take on former world champion Hugo Ruiz <\/strong>in a 12-round featherweight clash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
