Emery was Sevilla manager when the LaLiga club signed N’Zonzi from Stoke
Arsenal are the new favourites to land former Stoke midfielder Steven N’Zonzi, who is also a target for Chelsea.
N’Zonzi, the midfielder, left the Potters to join Sevilla in 2015 and he has since played 90 times in LaLiga for the Spanish club.
But he has been strongly linked with a move back to England over the past 12 months with Chelsea reportedly very keen on completing a deal to sign him.
But now Estadio Deportivo have claimed that Arsenal are in the driving seat to seal a summer deal for N’Zonzi.
New Gunners boss Unai Emery was the man who brought the Frenchman to Sevilla and he is hoping for a north London reunion with the 29-year-old.
It has been suggested that N’Zonzi would be open to a move back to England but Sevilla are unlikely to sell unless a club stumps up his £35m release clause.
