Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Fabinho from Monaco.
The Champions League finalists have paid an initial fee of around £40million to sign the Brazil international from Monaco.
Fabinho, 24, will officially join the Reds on July 1.
Liverpool moved quickly to wrap up a deal for the defensive midfielder as they prepare for the departure of Emre Can.
Can is to leave Anfield this summer for Juventus having turned down the offer of a new contract.
Fabinho said: “I am really excited about this move. This is something that I always wanted – this is a giant of a team. The infrastructures of the club look exceptional.
“A football club of this size coming after my services, I didn’t have to think that much about coming over.
“I will try to create my own history at this football club. Hopefully, on a personal level, I’m able to win titles with this club.
“I will try to grow and learn and improve myself, and to be part of the club’s history.”
Fabinho, who has four caps for Brazil but is not part of his country’s World Cup squad, will form part of a new-look midfield at Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp will also welcome Naby Keita to the club this summer, with the Reds having agreed to sign the midfielder from RB Leipzig last summer.
