The France Under-21 international scored 21 times in 48 games in Ligue 1 last season
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Nice striker Alassane Plea, who is seen as the ideal man to provide competition for Harry Kane.
The France Under-21 international scored 21 times in 48 games in Ligue 1 last season.
As a result, speculation about him leaving France has only intensified.
According to The Sun, Plea is seen as the man to provide Harry Kane with stiff competition for next season.
Mauricio Pochettino wants to make another assault on the Champions League, and sources say the north Londoners have tabled an opening bid of £23 million.
Despite trying to lure striker Anthony Martial away from Manchester United, it is understood Plea is the man they want.
Nice president Jean-Pierre Riviere has given a green light to any potential deal, after the young striker revealed he wanted to move this summer.
Having been capped by France all the way up from Under-18 to Under-21 levels, he narrowly missed out on a place at the World Cup this summer.
Borussia Monchengladbach have already made a serious offer for Plea, but Spurs hope to steal a march on the Bundesliga side by offering him Champions League football.
